On December 16, 2021 a Charity Auction was held on Twitter by a community of Hedera Hashgraph advocates. Hedera Hashgraph is a company located in Dallas, Texas. Hedera is a leading platform for the Internet of the Future. HelloFutureBuzz, a community host of “Space Talks” on Twitter – @HelloFutureBuzz and @HGraph Punks organized an auction of Digital Art, or NFTs, to be sold with all the proceeds going to our charity.
Elisabeth Chase, of HelloFutureBuzz said, “The Community is honored to be working on such an important issue as abuse. I also want to thank Patches of @HGraph Punks for running all logistics getting NFTs, organizing the auctions sets and times, setting them up and getting them out, and Baptiste Hediard of Paris for providing the platform where the auction took place on his website palace.lazysuperheroes.com. Patches of HGraphPunks, said, “We are blown away by the support we got from the Hedera network & Hedera NFT community for this event. The level of energy we saw to make a meaningful impact to those in need was off the charts and we’re proud of what good will be done because of those efforts. We want to give a special thanks to HelloFutureBuzz and @HBARMORY for all their hard work to help make this happen. We are so grateful for all the Hedera NFT creators and auction bidders who donated their time, money, and energy to such a great cause. It was an amazing experience for HCWC because the donation was received in “HBar” which is a digital currency, or crypto currency. Dr. Leemon Baird, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Hedera Hashgraph selected HCWC as the charity for the community of Twitter to rally behind to make donations from auctioning off their digital art pieces. Dr. Baird had previously held an auction on HCWC behalf this past September.
