Roxanne's House Program

No one wants to believe that child abuse can happen to the children in our lives. Unfortunately, abuse does happen. In 2009, HCWC worked with 239 children who were abused and administered 156 forensic interviews.

All of our services are free and confidential.

Roxanne’s House is the child abuse program of the Hays-Caldwell Women's Center. This children’s advocacy center is a child-friendly facility where abused children come to heal. Through play therapy, counseling and support groups, Roxanne’s House provides opportunities that allow children to grow to a responsible adulthood, free of threats to their dignity, physical safety and emotional well-being. Roxanne’s House works with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases in Hays and Caldwell counties. This team includes representatives from the legal system, law enforcement and state agencies. In order to receive services at Roxanne’s House, there must be a referral from law enforcement.
Roxanne's House also offers the Middle Way Parenting Program for families to promote positive parenting skills and healthy parent/child/family relationships.

To report suspected child abuse, call the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400.
