Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I need a PayPal account to donate?
A. No, you may use a VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.  First enter the donation amount, then go to the bottom of the web page under the ‘Don’t Have A PayPal Account?’ and click continue.

Q. How much of my donation will go to the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center?
A. We have carefully selected PayPal as a way to collect online donations to ensure that as much as possible of your donation goes to HCWC. PayPal charges a 2.9% fee plus $0.30 per transaction. For a $100.00 donation through PayPal, HCWC would receive $96.80.

Q.Is my donation tax deductible?
A. Yes, HCWC has 501(c)(3) status which means that you are allowed to deduct 100% of your donation. The fact that you make the payment through PayPal does not change this.

Q. Is the PayPal site secure?
A. We have taken utmost care that PayPal is 100% secure and trustworthy. PayPal offers the highest level of online security and handles thousands of transactions per day.

Q.Can I make an anonymous donation?
A. PayPal does not offer an anonymous donation option.  We ask for your contact information in order to send a thank you and tax deduction letter and periodic HCWC mailings.

Q.Are there other ways to donate to HCWC?
A.You may also contact us directly to make a donation, or send a check to HCWC to the address listed at the bottom of each website page.

Contributions to the Hays-Caldwell Women' Center, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes to the extent allowed by law.
